Out 1 May 2026: Temporary Secondary Residences by five Bubble criteria
This is the second recording by five Bubble criteria for superpolar Taïps. It is not a concept album, even though the title might suggest otherwise.
What the tracks have in common is that they were recorded in various locations around Europe over a period of around ten years. The respective countries, surroundings, life circumstances and duration of the various stays therefore influenced the music.
The almost 80-minute-long album is instrumental experimental or respectively post-rock, building its sound on various guitars, including electric bass, a Fender VI, baritone guitar, glockenspiel, vibraphone, and a few rather early analogue synthesisers whose age you can tell just by listening.
The haunting track ‘How was your day today?’ is an exception in that Michael Cramm, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of Cologne, Germany based band Van Zoyd (which is on hiatus), wrote and performed the spoken word part (cf. https://vanzoyd.bandcamp.com )

The tracks were released solely in digital format many years ago, but the artist felt that they needed to be refined and deserved a proper physical re-release. Thus, they were remixed, remastered and, in some cases, carefully edited and finally dubbed onto cassette and Compact Disc.
The digital tracks are and will be free or available for purchase at a price of the listener’s choosing. Physical options are an edition of professionally produced compact discs as well as a very limited edition Chromium Dioxide (CrO2) high bias cassettes, realtime dubbed on a TASCAM 202 MKVII.
five Bubble criteria (FBC) is a bleed Air side project.
